Hello and Welcome to Dino Freeze!

Hello and welcome! I am Joanna, the founder of Dino Freeze LLC. We are a small business in Nebraska that currently works under the Cottage Food Law. This is the story of how we came about and our dreams for Dino Freeze. My husband and I worked as over-the-road truck drivers. While traveling the country, we came to the quick realization that we had very few delicious and nutritious options to eat. To combat this, we cooked, vacuum-sealed, and froze homemade food. That was helpful, but that would only last about 2 weeks in our truck fridge and take forever to heat up. Then it was back to the unhealthy options the road had to offer. One day we were watching YouTube and came across freeze-drying. We did our research and could freeze-dry homemade food and store it for years! So we started our freeze-dry journey. It's easy to make, package, and store. We made steamed veggies with roasted chicken, asparagus with a baked potato and sliced steak, sliced cucumbers coated with powdered ranch, pickles, and so on! All we had to do was eat right out of the bag or add a little hot water, and BOOM! We had an easy meal that took 15 minutes or less to make. That is where the dream of having a freeze-dried business started. So we are starting small with candies and treats under the Cottage Food Law. We are hoping that with the help of all of you wonderful people, we can eventually get bigger and go commercial to make meals, snacks, and sweets for everyone!
